Bats get a bad rap. Perceived as harmful, loathsome roving creatures, they are in fact tireless workers, highly skilled at seed dispersal and frankly, rather attractive (in the eyes of Batman and La Jirafa y Yo).
The truth is, some species do enjoy a bit of blood-sucking (generally from livestock) earning them as a result the inglorious title of “vampires”.
