(GBG)
There are many beautiful birds in the world – those with brilliant plumage, majestic flight patterns, and odd behaviors – which delight bird watchers the world over. Among them, the quetzal stands out.
As stunning as one hundred hummingbirds put together, a male quetzal appears to have drunk a liquid rainbow in order to attract the future mother of his chicks. She falls for his dizzyingly colorful looks and committed loyalty, rewarding them both with baby quetzals as lovely as her mate.
Every year, they lose a few feathers following the hustle and bustle dictated by nature’s call; soon enough, with the help of sunlight and fresh fruit, they recover their former glory.
Originating from our lands, the quetzal is indeed a marvel to behold. (GBG)
